Communication Manager

ArchiFiles is seeking a motivated tech communications professional who is passionate about getting things done. We're looking for someone who ideally understands the ad tech space, can write compelling copy and develop pitches, and has the drive necessary to get the right media coverage for the company. If you’re a great storyteller with a knack for making complex messages easy to understand and customizing it to the right audiences, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities include managing and/or assisting with the following initiatives:

· Press coverage: craft effective go-to-market strategies, including identifying and pitching relevant press targets and writing press releases

· Build strong relationships with press and analysts to help keep Rocket Fuel at top of mind in the digital advertising space

· Collaborate with social media team on updates and monitoring conversations

· Partner with and manage the day to day relationship with our PR agency, including identifying appropriate media targets and pitch strategy

· Represent Rocket Fuel as a company spokesperson for social media communications and press inquiries

Skills

Skills required:

· Excellent written skills required, with a focus on storytelling and influencing media contacts

· Familiarity with and interest in technology and digital advertising a plus

· Comfortable working with both creative and technical professionals

· Excellent interpersonal skills to manage a large group of stakeholders, including executive, marketing, and product colleagues, customers, partners, media, and analysts against common goals

Experience required:

· 4-8+ years of tech or advertising marketing or tech journalism experience preferred

· Deep understanding of the digital advertising press a major plus

· BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience

· Tech communications, journalism, or marketing experience required

· Proven success managing marketing or press programs from development to execution

· Experience managing, developing, and nurturing relationships with relevant media contacts is required

· Strong work ethic and desire to see projects through from start to finish
