|
The Role: The Web Developer is responsible for the layout, usability, development and maintenance of existing and new company websites. Responsibilities: - Develop new Web applications as identified by management through packaged and customized applications.
- To continually design, develop and evolve the company web technologies to keep it commercially competitive.
- To continually evolve the web technologies and ensure they meet requirements on accessibility (W3C standards)
- Responsible for integrating the company database with the website.
- To develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.
- To monitor web server and site technical performance.
- Create a company-wide Intranet, allowing data manipulation for each internal staff member.
- To manage the development and training of the Content Management Systems(CMS).
- Maintain and enhance existing Web applications and all internal systems are integrated.
- Perform complete testing of Web applications unit and system, engaging users as necessary.
- Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results.
- Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
- Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
- Develop external Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information.
- Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
- Communicates with clients, e.g. to obtain straightforward information or answer simple inquiries.
