Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This role entails taking ownership of the training program, adhering to all the principles, timelines, etc., taking regular evaluation of all the trainees and liaising with concerned departments.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position has direct reporting access to the Manager Training and Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TRAINING PROGRAM DELIVERY

  • Liaise with the manager to confirm course details, materials and resources are current and accurate prior to each course.
  • Training and facilitation of Abacus training programs, as agreed with the manager, in accordance with delivery requirements, the training resources, incorporating learning principles and ensuring quality training and assessment, complying with the requirements of the training packages.
  • Ensure training programs commence no later than the nominated start time and end within the given time frames
  • Convey explicitly to trainees at the commencement of each session, the organization and safety arrangements. Ensure these arrangements are adhered to by the trainees.
  • Actively promote equal access and in particular, invite participants at the commencement of each workshop to register any special requirements they may have, especially in relation to physical impairments, learning disabilities or English language difficulties.

RECORDS

  • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation for each training program conducted, in accordance with Abacus requirements.

EVALUATION OF Trainees

  • Take trainee evaluations on a regular basis and keep line manager and other concerned departments abreast of all developments.
  • Advise the line manager of any negative feedback from course participants regarding services or facilities and in particular complaints, grievances or appeals.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Take initiatives for improving the existing process of training and how it can be made more effective.
  • Actively undertake professional development to maintain currency of skills and knowledge
  • Provide feedback to the line manager regarding any concerns you may have regarding particular course participants, the course itself, the premises, facilities, or any other aspect which you perceive may have a negative impact on the business, staff, premises or clients of Abacus.
