Objective 1: Support and Supervise ACF logistics operations in the field

  • Ensure that all logistics activities are carried out in-line with ACF procedures
  • Supervise all logistics components of base level and provide them feedback for improvement
  • Provide additional support to field bases
  • Ensure that all procurements are in compliance with the policy and procedures of ACF.
  • Ensure that all warehouses are in line with the program requirements, monitor storage and issue of transit and centralized stocks
  • Ensure safe conditions of office and housing in all bases, including proper electrics, adequate water supplies, bathroom, roofing,plumbing, compound hygiene etc
  • Support and strengthen base procedures and policies as necessary for the effective management of the emergency supply chain, vehicle fleets, communication systems, and other logistics components of the program delivery
  • Ensure a road worthy, fully functional vehicle fleet. Carry out preventive repair / maintenance while maintaining effective allocation system and safe use of vehicles
  • Ensure a centralized program asset register is maintained, that all program assets are logged, issued with unique asset numbers, and are tracked through out the country mission.
  • Support Log Co and Field Cos with conducting Logistics Assessments and providing recommendations for improvement
  • As necessary, fill vacant positions at field or capital level

Objective 2: Provide training to field logistics and program teams

  • Develop training plan for field logistics teams
  • Carry out training on logistics for support and program teams and follow up to ensure the application of knowledge
  • Support Field Coordinators and Heads of Base to conduct training as required

Objective3: Reporting

  • Review monthly field logistics reports and provide feedback to improve operations and reporting
  • Consolidate monthly logistics report for mission
  • Review of field stock reports, fuel consumption reports, etc and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Support to field and capital team on filing and archiving processes
  • Ensure that monthly physical counts have been done at base level for both Ware house stocks and Asset.
  • Reconciling of Warehouse and Asset reports on monthly basis.

Skills

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
• Over all 3 years of experience in managing logistics, and minimum 2 years’ experience in development sector
• Fleet, Warehouse, Procurement and Inventory Management
• Excellent Time Management
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Ability to Work in Complex Environment and Can bear the work load
PREFERRED
• Advance Knowledge of NGO logistics and supply chain system
• Familiarity with NGO general administration
