Overview

This position is a career development opportunity within the ACF Grants department. These multi-functional department leads donor reporting, proposal development, and internal coordination across the country programme. This department also supports communications, visibility, advocacy and strategy as required. The position will report directly to the Grants Manager who in turn reports to the DCD-P.

Objective 1 : To facilitate development of proposals and reports in line with the ACF Pakistan and international strategies as well as donor requirements

Tasks & responsibilities

· Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ACF internal policies and proposal guidelines for donor organizations funding Pakistan programs/projects;

· Conduct primary and secondary research in order to inform new opportunities and designs;

· Develop ACF Pakistan concept notes and proposals, abiding by the guidelines set out by the donor and by Pakistan internal policies. This will involve developing proposal documents including budget narrative, narrative, monitoring and evaluation documents, and other documents as necessary;

· Coordinate with staff from other ACF Pakistan departments (technical sectors, finance, and field staff) to compile relevant information and documents to support proposal development;

· Maintain a proposal and reporting tracker, and ensure regular and timely sharing of formats and requirements with the relevant departments;

· Development formats for, prepare, review, compile, provide feedback on, and finalize draft donor reports, editing for format, grammar, and content;

· Build the capacity of field staff to write and incorporate feedback on donor reports;

· Identify and communicate to program quality monitoring staff and technical teams gaps in reporting/data collection;

· Travel to the field sites as needed to support program reporting/grants management.

Objective 2 : To support internal coordination within the ACF Pakistan mission

Tasks & responsibilities

· Assist program quality monitoring staff in conceptualizing and facilitating implementation of program quality tools developed;

· Support grant opening, review, and closing meetings, including attendance at meetings when possible;

·Arrange and minute regular internal coordination meetings.

Objective 3 : To showcase ACF in Pakistan’s achievements and strategy by developing and disseminating communications and visibility, and facilitating and documenting advocacy

Tasks & responsibilities

· Develop communications and visibility documents, presentations, videos and other materials in line with ACF Pakistan’s strategy;

· Assist field level visibility including recording of this visibility;

Support advocacy initiatives for the country programme under the guidance of the DCD-P including development of position and advocacy papers.

Objective 4 : To engage in external representation thereby promoting ACF’s mission in Pakistan as well as seeking out new opportunities

Tasks & responsibilities

· Ensure regular mapping of key donors and their strategies in order to identify opportunities;

· Regularly review new calls for proposals and initiate discussion on pursing these;

· Build relations with donors, UN agencies and other humanitarian actors in an effort to develop grant opportunities for ACF;

·Represent ACF in external fora as requested.

Objective 5 : To support filing

·Regular and comprehensive filing of grant documentation.
