Subject Teachers are required for different subjects (Pakistan Studies, English, Pre-Primary)
Ensure that lesson objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timed (SMART). Most of the learning activities are properly timed, sequenced and are aligned with the lesson objectives and the curriculum.
Ensure the mutual respect and trust between teacher and student, as well as between students is evident most of the time in the lesson observed. Classroom rules, expectations and procedures promote discipline in the class.
Subject Content Knowledge
Ensure the content and concepts are presented correctly and in a simple manner using examples/ analogies/daily life situations/experiences, etc.
Ensure to engages students in active learning (e.g. inquiry, problem solving, project based learning, asking high order thinking questions, probing etc.)
Relevancy of Activities Methods
Planned activities and methods used must be relevant to the grade level and to the available classroom situation.
Ensure that the relevant resources are available and are often used appropriately (e.g. enough concrete material for group work/ pair work and/ or individual work). The resources used are audible and / or legible.
Teacher student interaction
Ensure often interaction with student in a supportive manner and there is often mutual respect between teacher and students (e.g. active listening, polite tone, appropriate gestures, treats fairly).
Must ensure that all Instructions are clear and understandable for the students (e.g. simple, audible / legible, timed )
Teacher Parent Interaction
Must ensure to complies with school procedures for communicating with parents and sometimes makes an effort to engage parents in the instructional program.
Asses and Provide Feedback on Student Learning
Ensure to use a variety of assessment strategies (for e.g.. questioning, drawing, concept map, written task). Sometimes teacher encourages students to express and elaborate on their ideas to assess their learning.
Must ensure to often communicates in the target/ instructional language with accuracy and fluency (e.g. proper pronunciation, appropriate vocabulary, grammar etc)
