• Develop the school as an effective learning organization, with a positive ethos that adds value to children’s learning. 
  • Achieve the school development targets as finalized in collaboration with EOS on areas such as increased enrolment, better examination results, and improvement in the six areas of school improvement as indicated in 7 below. 
  • Act as a courageous role model, be a leading professional and learner in the school and community, continually improving his/her own skills, attitudes and knowledge and facilitating, supporting and motivating teachers and staff. 
  • Make recommendations to the Head of South Schools on school operations and improvement Programmes and actively participate in implementation and achievement of outcomes, and collaboration with other schools in the region. 
  • Ensure compliance with the organizational vision, core ideology, policies and procedures of AKES, P.
  • Provide leadership in school strategic planning and implementation and in development of school based human resources. 
  • Direct and monitor the development and progress of the students and school through a well-defined annual school development plan in the key areas of leadership & management, teaching & learning, curriculum & resources, learning ethos and environment, parents & community and policies, processes and systems following a whole school Self Evaluation.  
  • Monitor and evaluate the on-going in-service professional development activities in coordination with the regional team.Provide pedagogical leadership, mentoring and support for professional development, quality assurance, Examination, EMIS, outstanding fee, enrollments in the school.
  •  Appraise teachers and staff effectively according to individual performance and contribution to the school development plan and targets.
  • Ensure that the school operates responsibly, in a cost effective manner and that all policies, processes and systems support the teaching and learning process, in accordance with the financial and human resource policies approved by the AKES, P Board. 
  • Ensure that systems are in place to collect, analyze and disseminate relevant data and information for timely decision making for improved student and school performance.
  • Maintain school records and ensure timely and regular reports to the regional office showing analysis of student, teacher and school progress, financial variations and anticipation of future issues. 
  • Works positively and closely with the parents, the school community, community leadership, etc in the development of the school and in meeting access targets. 
  • Conduct any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. All other routine school operations
