Job Description:

The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer of AKF(P) and will have primary responsibility for programme design, development and implementation of all the AKF(P) Health programmes, including resource mobilization for other AKDN agencies in Pakistan. S/he will support the CEO in ensuring coherence and synergy between the strategies and programmes of AKF(P), and those of other AKDN agencies in Pakistan.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing overall guidance and quality control for the development of proposals and the writing of reports.
  • Researching potential avenues of funding for AKF(P) and other AKDN Pakistan affiliates, and maintaining up-to-date information on donor interests and priorities.
  • Coordinating closely with the relevant AKF Donor Units (Canada, USA and UK) on proposals, reporting, donor relations and policy issues.
  • Coordinating donor relations with other AKDN agencies in Pakistan in consultation with the CEO.
  • Developing strategies for securing resources and influencing policy processes through diversification of AKDN Pakistan’s support base and innovative approaches, including exploring of non-traditional and indirect resource opportunities in consultation with the CEO.

Required Qualifications:

  • The incumbent should be MBBS and preferably Masters in Public Health & Environment (MPH) having at-least 15 years of relevant experience in the development sector.
  • Candidates with strong quantitative & qualitative skills, good written & spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills & knowledge of MS Office, flexibility to travel and ability to work in a diversified environment are encouraged to apply.
