Job Description:

AKPBS,P is looking for a consultant to conduct an impact assessment study of one of its projects in the Gilgit, Baltistan and Chitral, Pakistan. The consultant will be required to provide brief and clear conclusions and recommendations, using both qualitative and quantitative data for the following:

  • The degree to which the project outcomes are likely to be delivered;
  • Significant lessons that can be drawn from the experience of the project and its results, to date, particularly those elements that have worked well and those that have not;
  • General recommendations on improving implementation for the remainder of the Operational Phase project; Recommendations on further action upon completion of the current project

Specification:

  • Advance degree in Development Studies/ Environmental Sciences
  • At least ten years of professional experience in field research and sound knowledge of social science field research methodology (qualitative and quantitative research);
  • Relevant experience of rural housing issues and structural assessments will be preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of conducting overall impact assessments(economic, gender, health, environment etc.) and cost-benefit analysis on similar themes, particularly in rural areas of Pakistan;
  • Good communication with excellent English skills and substantial report writing expertise.
  • Ideal candidate must have completed at least two similar assessments.
