| Job Description: |
|
- Ensure availability of vehicle in road worth conditions
- Monitor KPI Running cost per hour/km/litre for trucks
- Design and implement formats required by customers for maintenance
- Monitor numbers of break downs
- Assessment of maintenance contractor/third party audit
- Management of repair orders
- Check and verify the bills of outsource contractor and timely submission to Finance for payment
- Quality repairs
- Monitor / control operating cost in terms of tyre wear & fuel consumption
- Maintenance of tools and equipments for repairs (if own).
- Maintenance and inspections of tools and gauges.
- Testing of Hose pressure and reverse valve test.
- Efficient handling of stocks with outsource contractor.
- Tyre management/inspection/change record/inventory control of old tyres
- Control the library of operating manuals, workshop manuals and other technical literature and help workers to understand these.
- Constructions and development of work shop systems and procedures as per customer requirements.
- Communications / Interpersonal dimensions with major spare parts suppliers, stockiest, maintenance vendors, truck/tanker manufactures.
- Reporting breakdowns and emergency situation to higher managements.
- Adequate and up to date records of vehicles and maintenance job done.
- Preventive Maintenance schedule for all vehicles.
- Accident and breakdown history.
- Implementation/updating of vehicle maintenance/repair records as per procedures.
- Work with outsource maintenance contractor and develop his system as per the customer requirements
- Compliance of hot work permit/gas-freeing and STW
- Perform maintenance activities in line with GHA audit requirements
