Job Description:

Purpose/Summary:

The finance officer will ensure smooth and compliant operations of the finance activities and maintain records. Finance Officer will support Programme Manager in budgeting, partner financial management and to ensure that financial reports are effectively used by the programme team. Finance Officer will conduct regular partners’ financial reviews and verifications to ensure partners’ financial practices are as per ADF's agreed procedures. He/she will provide feedback and consultation to the PM, systems and Field key staff for the effective use of programme resources and assets, ensuring accountability, transparency and value for money. He/she will also support the overall management of finance resources, monitoring and financial controls.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting: FO will ensure that staff adheres to internal controls; make necessary accounting adjustments and keep books of accounts as per standard procedures. He/she will review field books of accounts. He/she will do day to day payments, adjustments. He/she will coordinate internal/external audits. He/she will conduct the financial verification and review of Local NGOs partners.

Budget preparation and revision: FO will coordinate with field finance and programme team and provide technical support for preparation and consolidation of budgets as per guidelines. Provide assistance to Programme Manager in review of budgets.

Specification:

  • Master degree in Commerce, MBA (finance), partly qualified in ICMAP, ICAP,CIMA and ACCA.
  • At least 2 years financial management and relevant experience preferably with an I/NGO
  • Must be computer literate with a comprehensive knowledge of Micro soft, Excel & accounts packages and electronic mail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu and to communicate with people at different levels and from various backgrounds.

  • Excellent computing skills, including excel, word and electronic mail.
