Skills including
· Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications for each product with production team and plant manager to maximize A grade %.
· Assessing in-house customer requirements and ensuring that these are met during sorting of material.
· Setting customer service standards. Personally tackling in-house customer complaints and resolving them effectively.
· Finding solutions to problems that ensures targeted A grade % and that production does not suffer/stop.
· Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers, continuously test raw material during process and keep records of test results for comparison and historical purposes.
· Working with production/operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems. Ensuring that key production parameters are followed to produce most economical product.
· Writing management/technical reports
· Recording, analysing and distributing monthly, quarterly, annual statistical information of raw material, key production data, finished product and B grade reasons.
· Supervising laboratory staff.
· Determining and/or carrying out training needs of laboratory staff.
· Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality
Monitoring performance of finished goods and always analysing ways to make the product superior.
