DEPARTMENT/COUNTRY PROGRAM DESCRIPTION/MISSION
The American Refugee Committee (ARC) is an entrepreneurial humanitarian organization that assists displaced people to move from vulnerability to resilience, from impoverishment to well-being, and from exclusion to inclusion. Since 2002 ARC has been providing humanitarian relief and development assistance in Pakistan through meaningful engagement with refugees and internally displaced people, innovative human-centered programs, and rigorous attention to outcomes. ARC provides multi-sectorial programs that include primary and reproductive health, health clinic management, GBV programming, water and sanitation, shelter, and emergency response.
Through the Education project, ARC strives to help enroll one million out-of-school children in quality primary education schools while strengthening and building on existing formal and alternative education systems in Pakistan. ARC is leading the implementation of project in consortium with MoENT and Provincial Government Education and Literacy Departments, JICA and CSOs.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The role of Senior Manager Budgeting, Forecasting & reporting is to develop and evaluate financial plans and carry out budgeting process while keeping in view the organization's needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Critically examines proposed budgets by different departments for correctness, accuracy, completeness and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives
- Analyze monthly financial performance against plan and prior period.
- Rendering financial advice to the management officials of different operations to undertake proper financial planning and decision making.
- Conducts financial analysis to propose changes to internal processes and new business strategies
- Analyzing actual results against budget and forecasts and prepare written analysis as required
- Prepare various executive management reports including Budget report to management for further scrutiny and approval.
- Monitoring the budget during the fiscal year.
- Preparing detailed reports addressing the discrepancies and amendments made during fiscal year.
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Budgeting and forecasting role; 2 years’ experience working for INGO/s is required.
- Experience in multi-cultural and multi-level programs.
- BBA/MBA (Specialization in Financial Management, Accounting or any relevant field)
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office Excel, Word, outlook etc.
- Fluency in English (Written & Spoken)
