1. Practical experience of commissioning small to large turbines on run-of-river projects with high to very high discharges
2. Investigates new concepts for practicality, economy, and operating efficiency
3. Determines design changes, modifications, and standardization to facilitate manufacture at an economical, competitive level.
4. Operates CAD/CAE equipment to complete work assignments
5. Creates 3D solid models and 2D drawings of components and assemblies
6. Disposition of non-conforming materials, machined/fabricated components and assemblies, and installed/tested assemblies as to adequacy for use
7. Contribute to short and long-term objectives of Mechanical Engineering for Process Improvement and Standardization
8. Assist test engineers during start-up and commissioning. Evaluate test results and check on guaranteed values.
Required Qualification
- 7-10 years of mechanical engineering experience in hydropower or related field
- Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting
- Experience in design and operation support of conventional and pumped storage
- hydroelectric generation stations
- Previous experience in a client facing role
- PEC Registration required
- Mechanical Engineer preferably holding Degree in M.S from a Foreign University.
- 5 years experience with Consultant or O&M Company in Power Sector.
- O&M experience in Hydropower is a plan.
