We are looking to appoint a high-calibre communications professional as our Communications Manager for Pakistan. The role will provide a wide variety of communication support to our team there to build and maintain awareness of our work.

You will be supported by our Communications team in Cambridge, UK, report directly to the Country Director in Islamabad and work closely with the country team. You will develop and deliver a communications programme to reach a wide range of stakeholders throughout the year. It will involve both shaping our communications strategy and messages, and regular writing of our communications - including web articles and press releases, factsheets and adverts.

As first point of contact for journalists, you will need an excellent understanding of the media and be adept at handling media enquiries. You will need to articulate our approach to education, so you will need to draw on a good understanding of the education sector and reputation management. The role will also be responsible for managing and organising our events programme.

This is a challenging and stimulating role that requires a proven track record in managing communications programmes, brand, media relations and events. You will be educated to degree level and possess a relevant marketing or communications qualification. Experience of working for an international or an education organisation would be an advantage. You will have an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being a flexible team player able to work under pressure and deliver on targets. You will need excellent writing skills in both English and Urdu.
