| Job Description: |

|
Gender Equity and Advocacy Advisor (GEAS) is responsible for promoting, nurturing and guiding CARE, relevant Government Line Departments, IPs and UCs on of gender equity and diversity issues. S/he will be the lead person for the project to ensure that the project staff and activities are gender sensitive and responsive. S/he will contribute in developing gender disaggregated data collection tool to track progress, actively contributing in gender analysis of the project activities and sensitizing CARE, IPs staff and UCs representatives. S/he will also advocacy plan and do the networking with the women and human right organizations, provincial department of women affairs to institutionalize a support mechanism for the participating rural destitute women in resolving gender based violence and/or rights denial issues. The GEAS will be instrumental in adaptation and targeting activities to meet the practical gendered needs of women and men (based on gender analysis and lessons learnt). S/he will also be responsible to document lessons learned and impact of activities related to women empowerment and disseminate to the internal and external audiences. |

Required
Ability to play role in advocacy for women rights issues and build networks and programs in regards to women economic empowerment and gender equity. Persuasive written language skills and strong interpersonal skills will be an asset.
