Job Description:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer) is a technical support position for the CIIP. Under the supervision of the CoP, the M&E Specialist will set up the M&E System for CARE as well as for the Implementing Partners and will have ultimate responsibility in maintaining the system, strengthening the system over time and building capacity of CIIP and implementing partners' staff to utilize the system. This includes collecting, compiling and analyzing relevant data. The incumbent will contribute to document lessons learned as the project evolves and share key lessons within and outside the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job Responsibility #1: Development of M&E system, tools, and processes (% of Time: 20)
  • Job Responsibility #2: Training and capacity building (% of Time: 25)
  • Job Responsibility #3: Monitoring, evaluation and reporting (% of Time: 50)
  • Job Responsibility #4: Other duties (% of Time: 5)
 
Skills Required:
 
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
Highly organized, attention to detail and strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills;
Computer skill particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, ACCESS, Power Point;
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skill;
Firm belief in quality, integrity, teamwork, gender equality, participatory approach and sustainability;
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Desired
Utilizing programming and statistical software (such as SPSS and MS Access, etc.) to compile data and information for various systems, and knowledge of basic Participatory, Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation concepts and research tools.

IV. CONTACTS/ KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The jobholder is expected to collaborate with the key CARE Pakistan headquarters and field staff, CARE International staff, implementing partners, local community, and government counterparts (when relevant and appropriate to the duties of the position).

V. WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED.
The post is located in Multan with approximately 50% field travel to project sites.
