Database Administrator / Architect (DBA) are required by CentricSource. We are looking for professionals who have worked as a Database Developer & Architect having 5 years professional development experience in MySQL, Oracle, Data Modeling, Linux.
Hands on experience in:
- Oversee development and production database and server performance with improvements.
- Highly proficient with SQL related tuning with indexes and database parameters.
- Perform code reviews of SQL and offer performance related improvements to the team.
- Proficient with interpreting query explain plans, reviewing data within tables and recommending indexing strategies.
- Experience with table partitioning strategies and related implementation.
- Implement and support database backup and recovery operations.
- Lead the data modeling and RDBMS design for our high-volume application and establish standards.
- Develop stored Procedure functions and triggers using SQL and BASH with CRON to automate as part of our application needs.
- Investigate and recommend third-party reporting solutions with an overall Strategy for their integration.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with establishing methods for base-lining database performance and measuring improvements with changes.
- Proficient with experience developing methods of loading large volumes of data automatically into a database.
- Capable of setting up database servers and instances from scratch on linux.
- Experience in recommending and configuring optimal hardware solutions including storage area networks.
- Familiarity with data modeling design (CASE) tools (Erwin, Toad Schema Modeler, etc).
- Experience with Agile developments practices and Scrum.
- Proven ability to execute projects from inception to delivery within alotted estimated time.
- Ability to work with minimal direction.
- Good level of communication in English. Both written and verbal.
