China Xinjiang Beixin Road & Bridge Group is seeking to employ construction manager, with heavy construction experience, for one of its on-going projects in Pakistan
Required Experience:
- The contract manager should have minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in similar role, managing projects of different sizes.
- Experience of liaising with local authorities for roads, bridges and building permits and execution of contracts.
Qualification:
- Civil Engineering degree or a construction related discipline from a reputed and PEC recognized university or PEC registered professional institute.B.E. Civil 5 – 10 years’ experience
- Or D.A.E / B (Tech) 15 to 20 years’ experience.
- PMP Certification and Middle East experience is an extra advantage.
The Role:
We are seeking a Construction Manager to support our road, bridges and highway construction program. The selected candidate must have proven knowledge of standard construction policy and procedures, as well as extensive experience managing and overseeing the construction of major highway improvement projects. This role will serve as the representative to the client, subcontractors and suppliers during the project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for a multi-disciplined team engaged in completing the road, bridges and highway program and, as such, will plan, direct, and supervise the execution of technical, procurement, contractual, quality, safety, fiscal, and administrative functions.
- This will entail supervising inspectors, resident engineers, and subcontractors.
- You will prepare purchase requisitions and assure procedures are followed to administrate all field vehicles and equipment status logs and reports.
- You will be engaged in drafting of requisitions, subcontract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders as well as approving subcontractor safety and quality control plans and monitoring subcontractor progress and budgets. This position is specifically responsible for maintain maintaining current and timely change orders and supervising the preparation of the client's monthly construction progress report, contract status report and monthly invoices.
- In addition, you will oversee and provide input to the work breakdown structure (WBS), budgets and schedule as well as monitor the QA/QC and inspection and test plans and the on-site materials testing laboratory. Keys to your success will be your track record of managing construction programs, adhering to budget and schedule, and delivering a quality road and highway project, safely.
