- Handle day to day network operations and monitoring
- Implement and verify the system configurations
- Integrate network elements such as OCS/PCRF with PS core and SCP with CS core
- Prepare and test new platforms for readiness before go-live
- Handle emergencies to make the network elements operational
- Analyze traces and logs to troubleshoot network problems
- Configure rating groups for app based data charging
- Establish and manage links with entities
- Apply basic upgrades, patches and other roll outs
- Perform preventive checks on system nodes to avoid any downtime
Skills and knowledge required
- Tier-1 university degree in an engineering discipline such as Computer, Electrical or Electronics, Telecommunications, Software etc.
- At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in telecom operations or implementation
- Strong understanding of the following network elements, technologies and tools
- OCS, PCRF, SCP, GGSN, MSC
- Wireshark for pcap trace analysis
- Interfaces: DIAMETER, CAP, SOAP, SNMP, SMPP, MAP and SIGTRAN
- OS/ Languages: Linux/Unix, Solaris, Shell scripting, SQL
- Good understanding on prepaid, postpaid, and convergent charging solutions
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
