Pakistan Aquatic Life Saving (PALS), provides free public safety along the beaches of Karachi. Over 175 PALS Lifeguards have been trained by Surf Life Saving New Zealand, and patrol over 40 Km of Karachi's public beaches.
Since 2004, PALS Lifeguards have reduced the yearly drowning rates form over 250/year to 'near-zero' today.
