About The Green Grass Element
1. Our business
The Green Grass Element is a sports service providing company with the aim to promote sports throughout Pakistan. It is dedicated to physical development of children by educating, coaching and training them and designing programs which help them grow in sports. The focus of Green Grass is not only to help and excel children as players but to create opportunities which help them take sports as a career. As Green Grass Element grows we aim to cover various segments of kids’ sports industry; sports coaching, sports facilities, professional sports, sports goods and sports apparel. We believe that equal opportunities should be provided to all kids regardless of their social segment, ethnicity, religion or race.
1.1 Green Grass Element
Green Grass element was officially established this year in April. However, the founding members have been working on the idea and planning for last couple of years. Currently we are only situated in Lahore but within the next year we plan to move to other major cities of Pakistan. Our highly dedicated and professional team is committed to promote a healthy lifestyle among the kids of Pakistan. We want our kids to be motivated, strong, disciplined and healthy.
1.2 Our current projects
a. Media series
We are working on a media series of cricket coaching for kids between ages of 7-14. It will be a very interactive and fun show for kids. We will add glamour to it by inviting cricketing celebrities and involving big brands. The show will be first of its kind in Pakistan with a lot of sports fun sections for kids in that.
b. Sports for all
There are many organizations working for the rights of underprivileged children and have various programs designed for their development. Green Grass Element wants to help them in a unique and effective way; through sports. We want to provide these kids with sports as a platform for physical activity, education, social connection, healthy lifestyle and career opportunities.
Green grass plans to talent hunt for talented cricketers (age 7-14, starting from four major cities of Pakistan) who belong to underprivileged backgrounds. They will be picked and brought to Green Grass academy where they will not be educated and coached about cricket but will also be formally educated. Later they will be sent to get international coaching training so that they can have secured careers. Some of them will definitely find their way to departmental, district and national team. While these kids stay with us we will support their families so that child doesn't have to work. And those talented children who can't join us despite showing immense talent and interest, we will provide with sports equipment. This project will be a ray of hope for children from underprivileged background to play and learn the game they love so much.
c. Structured coaching program for schools
In this project GGE will provide sports services to schools. Certified coaches will provide structured coaching sessions to kids. The sessions will be interactive and fun which keeps kids healthy. We will try to make this project permanent part of their curriculum.
