Position Summary: The Software Engineer will develop specifications and code moderately complex software programming applications in addition to modifying and maintaining existing software. This position requires intensive design, coding and documentation. Essential Job Functions:
- Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
- Analysis, design and development of software products.
- Working closely with other staff, such as project managers, graphic artists, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals.
- Consulting clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and asking questions to obtain information; clarify details and implement information.
- Responsible for writing comments in his/her source files.
- Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects. Creating technical specifications and test plans. Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
