Weatherly Cloud is currently seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to manage our cost accounting function. The successful candidate will provide effective preparation, budget development and variance reporting to senior management.
This individual will be responsible for monthly reporting presented to our senior management team and provide support for Board reporting. This individual will also support general accounting functions such as maintaining fixed assets and other balance sheet accounts and preparing state compliance reporting and reconciliations of bank accounts.
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
As Cost Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will:
- Plan, Organize and direct all the activities of the Cost accounting function.
- Prepares cost estimates of new or special services for establishing selling prices and sales forecasts.
- Partner effectively with Operations team to develop and implement ongoing cost savings strategies .
- Lead standard costs are properly maintained throughout the year.
- Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures Maintaining Cost Accounting System
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Analyze and maintain standard costs for the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Budgets – Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Forecasting.
- responsible for the overall accounting and costing functions, including audit, compliance and taxes under various laws and regulations.
- Monitor costs, identify variances, and facilitate initiation of corrective actions to meet business goals.
- Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis
- Define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activities
REQUIREMENTS
- ICMA (Qualified/ Finalist)
- 2 years Proven experience in Cost Accounting.
- Strong leadership and organizing skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and support accounting team
