Job Description:

-Developing standards and best practices regarding database development

-Data Architecture and Analysis

-Database modeling/design, implementation, and tuning

-Modeling of all existing SQL databases

-Development and maintenance of LOB applications

-Data warehouse and reporting development

-Helping developer with query design

-DB administration aspects of mirroring/shadowing databases

-Automation of database procedures, generating/maintaining statistics, statistics review and tuning for efficiency

-Helping to optimize queries to improve performance

-Database administration procedures

-Data governance (policies, procedures, standards for data assets)

-Collaborating with Product team to ensure design and architecture of database

-Collaborating with Build and Release team on oversight of SQL Environment
 
Skills Required:
 
7+ years experience in database design, business intelligence, development and administration.
SQL Server 2005, 2008 Experience working with database structure differences (e.g, transaction based vs. data warehouse).
Must have experience with data modeling and architecture.
Experience with clustering, replication, hardware replication, and disaster recovery.
Experience including purging, archiving, and database optimization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
