DAI, an international consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for an Activities Manager to support the anticipated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governance (KPG) Project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The goal of KPG is to support the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and civil society organizations to implement the provincial governance reform agenda in an effort to improve local government effectiveness and to provide public services to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens. The Activities Manager will assist with the implementation of programmatic activities in support of these objectives.

Specifically, the Activities Manager will:

· In coordination with the Program Development Officers (PDO) and Procurement and Subcontracts Manager (PSM), participate in the development of the prospective grantees’ budgets, work plans, evaluation indicators, and activity timelines.

· Assist the PDO, Procurement and Subcontract Manager (PDM) and the Monitoring and Evaluation Director (M&ED) in the development of the grantees’ M&E Plans for inclusion in each grant that is likely to be approved; make sure the grantees understand all programmatic and financial reporting requirements.

· Work with the PDOs and other team members to ensure that the grant agreement accurately captures the details of the approved activities, work plan targets and objectives, as well as all the necessary administrative and compliance information.

· Draft grant agreements for signature by the COP and ensure that all associated documentation such as the Proposal Competition and Grant Negotiation memos have been completed by the relevant parties.

· Monitor the grant implementation process and ensure that all deliverables, correspondence, documentation, and final reports are complete and entered in the PakInfo database and TAMIS.

· Manage day-to-day implementation of activities, provide regular updates for staff on grant status and ensure proper information entry in Activity Database.

· Draft grant-related correspondence (letters of receipt, issue letters, rejection letters, close-out letters etc.).

· Maintains all grant activity files.

· Collect information and data on the implementation progress of each grant and give input on implementation issues to the PDO for inclusion in the written grant evaluation.

· Based on the evaluation of grantee activities, collect lessons learned and provide recommendations to the PDO on future improvements and opportunities.

· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

· University degree in relevant field preferred. Secondary school degree with extensive relevant experience can be substituted for university degree.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in related role required.

· Relevant experience working on donor-funded projects in a related role highly preferred. Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs required.

· Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

· English language fluency required.
