DAI seeks a Trade Policy and Facilitation Advisor for an anticipated USAID-funded project to promote the sustainable economic growth and stability in Pakistan by improving trade-related policies, promoting export and cross-border trade, and building the capacity of public and private sectors in trade facilitation. The position will be based in Islamabad.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in leading and implementing donor-funded trade policy and trade facilitating initiatives in Pakistan, including prior experience with USAID programs;
- Strong understanding of trade policies, procedures and practices that affect the movement of goods across Pakistan’s borders, including the regional trade agreements currently in effect;
- Experience with institutional capacity building, training and public-private partnerships preferred; ability to design training programs for government officials;
- Strong management and communications skills, proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in complex political and cultural environments;
- At least 10 years of professional experience related to trade policy development, trade facilitation, negotiation, including prior managerial experience;
- Advance degree or equivalent in a relevant field (business, economics, international trade).
- English proficiency (written and oral) required
