DatumSquare, a provider of offshore information technology services is seeking for “Server / Network Remote Help Support Guru” in its Islamabad Office.
The “Server / Network Remote Help Support Guru” shall be responsible to provide value added services to our customers. This person will gain broad exposure to a variety of network designs and assist in implementing services offered by DatumSquare.
Successful candidates must be willing to work from 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM and should have excellent communication skills, hard work ethic, strong problem solving skills and the ability to perform the following duties and meet the associated requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate networks and make recommendations on enhancements as it relates to our products.
- Work with other IT professionals to implement new network features.
- Identifies windows problems and risk areas and be able to troubleshoot network problems remotely.
- Assist with the maintenance of all systems and associated support functions.
- Participate in 24x7 on-calls.
- Monitor and maintain current network infrastructure.
- Maintain network documentation.
- Work on tickets and solving windows related issues.

- Firewalls: Watchguard, Cisco, Fortinet
- Routers/Switches: Cisco, Dell
- Understanding of Networking, Protocols, and Communication via IP.
Server Administration:
- Windows 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2

Desktop Administration:

DHCP
- PC Imaging - setup, customize and sysprep
- VLAN / subnetting of networks
- VPN Set up and configure (IPSec, SSTP, PPTP)
- Certificate Authority set up and admin / issuing and installing certificates
- Thorough understanding of security best practices (group membership, ACLs, etc)
- Strong troubleshooting skills - quickly narrow a problem down
Activities:
- Virus Removal
- System Maintenance (Servers and Desktops)
- Helping End Users with issues (sometimes this includes how to use a program, more procedure than technical)
- Design/Project Planning
- Setup and Install of Servers and Desktops
- Providing higher level of tech support to our Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
- Proficient in Backup systems for Servers and Virtual environments, with items like Veeam, Symantec, etc.
