Job Description:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Finance

  • Ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise the Finance team in financial transactions,
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and on-demand reports to head-office/USAID.
  • Provide feedback to and seek clarification from sub-offices on monthly finance reports.
  • Ensure effective use of financial databases by staff and provide on-job training if needed.
  • Approve payments.
  • Manage external audit and USAID specific audit.
  • Manage funds at Head office and field office level.
  • Manage flow of funds from USAID and made sure that funds are available for program operations and office running all the time.
  • Manage balance sheet items.
  • Ensure that advances are adjusted on timely manners.
  • Conduct periodic review of field office and submit review report to SMT.
  • Supervise dealing with bank.
  • Supervise tax matters and ensure that statutory reports are submitted on time and are complete as per prevailing law.
  • Update policies and procedures related to finance on when and where need basis.
  • Ensure that necessary internal controls are in place and in operational in their true spirit.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • CA/ACMA/ACCA or equivalent, MBA (Finance) with 10 years of experience
  • At least 7 years experience overseeing and managing development sector finance departments at scale in Pakistan and preferably other countries
  • Experience in developing user friendly tools for financial management
  • Excellent management and communications skills
  • Ability to work independently to a high professional standard
  • Sensitive to the cultural & political environment
  • Fluent spoken & written English language
  • Knowledge of Pakistan and Region
