Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Work with staff to secure a date for the event.
- Plan, prepare for and host Events.
- Oversee and assist staff in Event preparations and see that client preferences and instructions are followed.
- Brief banquet staff of any important instructions to be followed.
- Check inventory of necessary items.
- After agenda has been decided, prepare and print the function sheets.
- Provide supervision and guidance to the Banquet staff.
- Arrive early to assist with set-up and stay late to follow through with clean up.
- Trouble-shoot activities at the event.
Desired Candidates profile:
- Minimum 2-3 Experience in Events/Banquets is compulsory.
- Good delegation skills
- Should have excellent English (written & spoken) communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be active, friendly and have an outgoing personality.
- Presentable looking and following hospitality grooming standards.
- Flexible with working hours and a team player.
- Individual having their own conveyance would be preferred.
