Job description:
We are seeking Telecom Quality Assurance Engineers to join our Quality Assurance team where. Selected candidates will work with other engineers to qualify and test telecom network products as well as gather and report on key systems performance metrics. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, agile organization and working in a fun, team-oriented environment.
Key responsibilities include:
· Reading, understanding and interpreting RFCs to aid in the creating, executing and automating test plans for our product
· Testing policy and charging functions over Gx
· Testing online charging in our product by simulating different scenarios
· Working with open source tools such as seagull for functional testing and DsTest for performance testing
· Replicating customer environments for functional and performance testing using dsTest, breaking point
· Analyzing bug reports filed by other testers or field engineers and reproducing the issues in the QA lab as well as verifying the fix
· Filing bug reports after analyzing, debugging and isolating issues if the feature does not work as intended.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent with a solid foundation in networks
· Experience working with networking technologies
· Experience with protocols like Radius, Diameter, HTTP, TCP/IP, IPDR
· Experience working with PCRF, PCEF, OCS
· Basic understanding of policy enforcement and online charging in a mobile network. Experience working with following RFCs is desirable: RFC 4006, RFC 3588, 3GPP 32.299, 3GPP 29.212.
· Experience with testing and analyzing performance of applications running in Java VM with emphasis on heap usage and garbage collection
· Programming/scriptingskills (python, bash)
· Miscellaneous skills: Json, wireshark, seagull, tcpdump, Linux/Unix, visual VM.
Good level of oral and written English required
