Emergen Consulting is Pakistan's premier open-source consultancy, specializing in customized large scale deployments dealing with core infrastructure services. Our clients include leading financial institutions, academic institutions as well as government bodies and various industries in the private and public sector.
Essential Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience as Linux System Administrator / System Architect
- Educated to degree level (BS/MS, Computer Science / IT)
- Experience supporting 500+ users, 60+ servers in a multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of LDAP and DNS is required
- Knowledge of Kerberos, Squid, IP Tables, MySQL and Apache is preferred
- Knowledge of code versioning software (git or svn)
- Virtualization via VMWare and Xen
- Operating Systems: Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL and SuSE Enterprise Whilst not essential, the ideal Linux Systems Administrator will have experience of VoIP telecoms and PBX management.
