Job Purpose :
The RF Engineer participates in several deployment processes:
Radio planning (2G, 3G, LTE, WiMax)
Radio optimization (saturation /capacity / Coverage / Events )
Network Deployment (site-selection, site-construction & site-commissioning, site supervision, vendor selection, negotiation, IBS Implementation, RF Repeater Implementation)
Administrative tasks (Meeting customer, Reporting …)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Rollout :
New design definition (Based on new technologies 2G/3G/LTE )
Search Ring / Site Survey/ LOI/ Technical Review / Drawing (LS) approval/ Kick off site commissioning/ Drive Test/Walk Test Define & Analyze
Site-acquisitions
Optimization RAN Performance:
Analyze KPI report ( Saturation / Capacity / Coverage)
Initiate optimization actions (Tilt/Azimuth/Channel)
Site Deployment
Participation in several meetings with customer before deployment.
Follow-up with subcontractors and supervise site installation (Network Deployment)
Support to Sales department:
Coverage maps (+ integration in Google Earth)
Update sales tools (BEAMS)
Follow-up and solve network issues linked to radio parameters
Design:
Should have experience in IBS (In-Building System)/RF Repeater designing.
Strong surveys.
AUTOCAD is must.
Qualifications/Education:
Skills & Experience:
Cellular Radio Planning and Optimization (knowledge about 2G, 3G and 4G and/or LTE is a plus ….) Site deployment process (from marketing and searching to an operational site) Extended knowledge/expert of MapInfo Excel and AUTOCAD is must.
Should already have experience in designing the IBS (In-Building System) and RF Repeater Site/
Microwave backhaul technologies and/or other wireless technologies (preferable)
Languages: Urdu as a mother language, good knowledge of English is must.
Minimum 2 years of experience within RF environment of a cellular network operator (network deployment, radio planning, optimization, environmental specifications, etc ….)Skills
