- B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline
- 3-4 years of experience in SQA (Software Quality Assurance Field) with exposure to the full product development cycle from requirements to post-release
- Have conducted software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments and designed test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures with strong auditing skills.
- Excellent people management and consulting skills among the team members, management and clients with very good written, verbal & non-verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven and ability to work independently and interact with project teams with management multiple projects/tasks at a time.
- Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels.
- Experience in developing and executing manual and automated test suites.
- Experience in testing web-based enterprise applications i.e. use of Debuging tool like Firebug etc
- Can investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
- Perform debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using test plans and functional specifications.
- Good exposure to tool based process automation with commercial test tool packages (i.e., QuickTest Professional, Winrunner, SilkTest) in a Windows client / server environment.
- Familiarity with programming languages like PHP, Java or C#, HTML, CSS, JS.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
- Participate in all phases of the test cycle, including Integration/System Testing, performance Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing, etc.
- Perform both new functionality and regression tests and identify, analyze and report issues using standard defect tracking tools.
- Able to keep test scripts up to date as the product / requirements changes.
- Perform deliverables tracking and reporting as assigned.
- Comfortable mentoring and training others, both informally (peer-level) and formally (through occasional presentations).
- Strong team player with a do what it takes attitude. Routinely demonstrates flexibility and is a very capable multi-tasker. Willing to pitch in and contribute to manual test efforts when needed.
