| Job Description: |
|
- Ensure that project designs are fit-to-purpose and demonstrated to meet project development expectations (such as performance and cost) as well as technical, regulatory, environmental, commercial, safety, operating, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the project engineering needs are being met.
- Monitor quality, timeliness, and cost of work performed
- Provide oversight of the engineering Consultant / Contractor (who is accountable for detailed design and for execution).
- Technical leadership, coach, and mentor more junior staff.
- Lead and collaborate with specialized internal engineering teams and other stakeholders.
- Should be able to prepare Design Guidelines / Design Criteria and Design Parameters for the upcoming prestigious hospital project.
- Responsible for timely completion of the design development / construction drawings package with BOQs and Cost estimates.
- Responsible for checking all design calculations on software submitted by the consultants
- Responsible for checking B.O.Qs and cost estimates of the project.
- Responsible for arranging all materials on site and should be familiar with all material procurement procedures.
- Responsible for checking of all materials on site for quality/ quantity both independently.
- Must be fully conversant with technical codes local / international codes and standards such as Mechanical (NFPA, ASHRAE, JCIA, IBC, IFC, ASME, ANSI, ACGIH, IMC, IPC, IFGC, and ES&H ) , Electrical ( NEC, IEEE, IEC, IES, IP, UL, NFPA, NEMA and ANSI)
- Should be able to verify all bills of the contractor for payments for the project Manager.
- Should have some knowledge of medical equipment selection criteria and should be able to prepare Technical recommendation of different available options and help owner in selecting the best available option.
