PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Finance officer will be responsible for overall implementation of the project activities, coordination with the Donor, Bank, FBR, Vendors, and line departments.
Main Responsibility of Position
- Prepare financial statement such as income statement, balance sheet on Quarterly ,Bi Annual and Yearly bases
- Prepare management accounts such as receipt and payment account, bank reconciliation
- Prepare Variance Sheets
- Ensure deduction of withholding tax from the payments to vendors and from the staff salaries as per income tax law, prevailing at the moment
- Deal any other tax matters arising from time to time
- Reconcile the records of payments with activities and recommends new disbursements to the Executive Director
- Prepare budget comparisons for Manager review
- Performs any other special assignments/tasks instructed by the Manager Finance or Executive Director
Skills
· Knowledge of Accounting software
· Knowledge of local or donor grants regulations.
· Extremely detail oriented and with special attention to accuracy and timely reporting
· Excellent communication and facilitation skills
· Knowledge of computerized accounting programs, preparation of financial reports & preparation of financial statements
· Be honest and trustworthy, be respectful, be flexible & demonstrate sound work ethics
Supervisory skills, team building, analytical and problem solving skills, effective verbal and listening& communications skills
· Knowledge of local or donor grants regulations.
