THIS IS A LAHORE BASED JOB
-We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented Linux Systems Administrator to work in a team environment to perform system administration functions.
- The successful candidate will be involved in various projects from design through to implementation and automating back end processes, keeping system availability to a maximum and aiding developers where needed.
- Due to the nature of the role,you will need to be flexible and willing to go the extra mile / work additional hours as and when required on short notice and be available on call.
- All applications with no verifiable certification details (RHCSA/RHCE/LPIC) will be ignored.
Skills Required:
- Experience in the web hosting industry advantageous
- 2 to 3 Years commercial experience working with Enterprise
- Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS) essential
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 in a web hosting environment
- Excellent communication skills (English written/spoken)
- Fast learner and able to cope working under pressure
- Shell/Perl scripting
- PowerDNS/Bind (authoritative/caching)
- Postfix/Qmail
- Apache/IIS 6.0-7.0
- MySQL (NDB)/MSSQL
- Cisco switching (inc BGP, trunking and VLANs)
- Citrix XenServer Hypervisor
- Security tools, IPSEC/IPtables, ACL
- OpenVPN (routing & encryption)
- Plesk Hosting Control Panel (8.6/9.5)
- ISCSI SAN experience advantageous
- Inquisitive and proactive to rectify issues
- Deployment automation tools, satellite, kickstart, cobbler advantageous
- Configuration management tools, puppet, cfengine advantageous
- Strong TCP/IP skills
- Monitoring solutions, nagios, cacti, netflow
