Skills and Knowledge Requirement
- · Responsible for data analysis and management reporting.
- · Completes reporting requests by analyzing, data mining and programming reports categorized as ad-hoc, client, management or performance reports.
- · Develops reports of varying size and complexity from user requirements.
- · Plan, develop and create reports on SQL Server databases using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- · Incorporates client requests and requirements to develop an enterprise reporting solution.
- · Review and interpret business requirements document.
- · Ability to develop production ready application without performing a testing cycle by someone else.
- · Experience in developing enterprise level web application using ASP.Net, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
- · Experience in developing enterprise level distributed desktop application using C#, VB.Net WPF will be plus.
- · Reverse engineer legacy code and add functionality, fix it for issues.
- · Must have knowledge of financial and accounting applications.
- · Knowledge of insurance applications and working experience of Crystal Reports would be a plus
Job Responsibilities and tasks
- · MUST have a strong SQL background.
- · Expert SQL skills, including proficiency using Stored Procedures and views.
- · Hand-on experience with Microsoft Reporting Services with an understanding of report development, publications and distribution.
- · Hand-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is critical and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development will be plus.
- · Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.
- · Able to develop good understanding about existing applications.
- · Integrating software or new modules with existing systems.
- · Follow and maintain design and coding standards set in by the organization.
- · Must complete tasks assigned as per time lines.
- · Debugging and fixing any issues in the software.
- · Perform research on assigned activity.
Educational / Experience Requirements
- · Minimum Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree or equivalent from a reputable institution.
- · 4+ years of experience in application development in .Net technologies.
