The incumbent will be responsible to provide leadership to the program monitoring department and manage activity and program monitoring for all grant programs of the Organization. The person will be required to develop the necessary formats, pretest them and establish these as the backbone of quarterly monitoring of activities. Oversee continuous assessment of all programs with regard to the objectives, results, and activities. Organize monitoring visits and oversee Monitoring Reports for each agreement. Be able to ascertain status of implementation, release of tranches, assess actual or potential risks, make recommendations, outline corrective paths, reduce organizational risk and facilitate timely adjustments where needed. The role requires developing mechanisms for effective program monitoring and providing specialist input on particular components. The individual is expected to spend a substantial time conducting monitoring visits in the field.

The ideal candidate must possess Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Social Sciences, International Development or other relevant discipline from a top ranking HEC recognized national or international university. The person will have at least 10 years’ relevant work experience in a national/international development sector organization of which 5 years in the senior role. Should have a track record of developing and managing monitoring of donor funded programs. Demonstrate openness in sharing information and keeping people informed. Possess high level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with the stakeholders. He/she must be a team player, system thinker, goal driven, innovative and action oriented individual. Should have strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. Team player with demonstrated success in management of teams in complex and demanding environments. Willing to extensively travel in the field.
