|
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users;
- Install and test new versions of the DBMS(SQL Server2008 R2);
- Have capability to develop new reports using crystal reporting
- Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;
- Write database documentation, including data standards,procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
- Control access permissions and privileges;
- Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans;
- Ensure that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly;
- Ensure database integrity and security;
- Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions
- Develop database utilities and automated reporting
- Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and fail over
- Restore and recover corrupted databases
- Install and test upgrades and patches
- Implement security and encryption
- Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
- Expert in SQL - Sound working knowledge of crystal reports Abilities, Aptitude & Skills REQUIRED - Leadership - Must have analytical skills - Flexible attitude - Excellent stress management skills
