Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE: The incumbent would be responsible to plan and carry out all activities related to job placement and micro enterprise development of newly trained Afghan refugees under Skills Training and Income Generation Project for Urban Afghan Refugees residing in Rawalpindi/ Islamabad and Peshawar.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

Job Searching and Placement:
  • To collect information on available jobs and share with the potential trainees
  • Searching Jobs from news papers, Magazines, Job portals, Yahoo group, and workplaces to identify potential jobs; related to PRM project trainees.
  • Assist trainees in placement by referring them to the prospective employers for their jobs.
Trainees Follow up:
  • Placement officers shall regularly conduct follow up visits of placed trainees at their workplaces to identify and settle their issues/problems pertaining to their jobs.
  • To track the placed trainees and also those drop out from work. Identify the causes behind drop out from work and take corrective measures.
Maintaining the Data base:
  • Maintain the Data base of CVs of all registered trainees.
  • To compile the socio- demographic and training information of registered trainees
Training & Development
  • To identify training areas and help the trainees to prepare their CV/resume etc
  • To plan and organize the workshop/session to build the capacity of trainees in resume writing, interview skills etc to enable them to get appropriate jobs.
Career Counseling
  • Counseling sessions to registered trainees about JPC services and its benefits
  • Orientation to all walk in clients about counseling and placement cell services/ functions.
  • Advice and counsel students regarding career selection, job searches, internship etc.
Promotion and Linkages
  • To create linkages with employers/ employers associations/ chamber of commerce and promote placement of skilled trainees of the project.
  • To promote Job placement cell on different plat forms and networks
Required Competencies
  • Masters degree in management/social sciences
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in workforce placement/ sales/ marketing
  • Well developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
  • Good written and spoken English is essential.
  • Pashto speaking candidate will be given preference.
  • Competent IT skills
