Qualification and Skills Required:
  • Excellent knowledge and proven skills in Statistics, especially inferential statistics
  • Masters degree in stats or Mathematics or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 + years relevant experience or currently teaching stats or having work experience of working on special large data scale projects.
  • Hands on expertise in SPSS and/or other quantitative tools
  • Association with an organization with Large Scale data setups is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of consumer spending patterns or behaviors is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Can also join us as consultant
Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to collect and analyze data to solve problems and make predictions on future outcomes.
  • Analyzes, business processes and transactions data to draw refined information that provides insight and value-added information to decision makers and key stakeholders
  • Performs statistical analysis to identify key variables, clusters and classes of data, relationships between data elements, discover patterns and trends etc.
  • Develops/Applies advanced statistical techniques and algorithms to develop predictive, probabilistic and forecasting models based on historic data
  • Reviews and refines input processes to ensure that all desirable elements of data are captured by the system
  • Reviews and analyzes data to establish performance benchmarks and evaluates business processes against previously established benchmarks
  • Responsible for extracting useful models from large scale data and work on enhancements of statistical & predictive models.
  • Responsible to work with data to derive insights and improve data quality.
  • Validate, quantify and present data in an effort to derive new business insight from the data.
  • Work with others to develop, refine and scale data management and analytic procedures, systems, workflows, best practices and other issues.
  • Provide training to managers and teams on statistics, process control, and quantitative methods of analysis
