Responsible for daily database maintenance, SQL development work for reporting, optimization of table structures and database performance. Provide architectural recommendations and best practices based on research in terms of MySQL databases, global replication and warehousing.
•Focused in the Database Administration and SQL development activities of primarily on MySQL 5.5 and secondly on SQL Server databases.
•Support and maintenance of the existing database infrastructure.
•Standby, on-call and support of MySQL databases.
•Architecture and design recommendations and implementations, in terms of future expansions and migrations from SQL Server to MySQL.
•Mentor and coach the team through their knowledge growth and domain knowledge cycles. Mentoring also takes place by means of peer reviews and recommendations on the SQL structures used in code.
• Must have 4 years BS degree in Computers or equivalent.
•Ability to convince others of right course of action and to explain a point of view convincingly.
•Good interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills and able to communicate clearly.
•Ability to write clear and concise documents, etc.
•Identify and effectively respond to the diverse needs of development department’s users.
• Able to work reliably and responsibly with internal and external colleagues to achieve development and organ
