|
The Female Medical Officer will be primarily responsible for providing curative and preventive services to the patients, to perform minor surgical procedures and to provide basic EmOC services. Responsibilities: - Provide curative, preventive and basic EmOC services especially to Female patients following MOH or international recognized treatment protocols.
- Also provide preventive and curative services to children.
- Supervise activities of LHV, RN and other IRC health staff in health facility.
- Ensure universal precautions for infection prevention.
- Perform minor surgical procedures i.e. episiotomy, dressing, stitching, abscess drainage etc.
- Ensure in a daily basis that medicines, medical supplies and equipments are available for the team.
- Refer patients when diagnosis or treatment is not possible in the site. Arrange/facilitate for the ambulance services to transport the patients to the nearest referral health facility.
- Make timely request of supplies, equipment and medicine.
- Cooperate with the medical program managers/supervisors related to their activities.
- Attend IRC trainings and programs meetings as required.
- Prepare statistics and reports of the program.
- Perform any other task assigned by line supervisor.
