Job Description:

Oversees all aspects of RH including implementation of the long term and permanent FP methods and PAC services, which are designed to achieve project target in all BHUs, RHCs and district headquarter Hospital in district Nowshera. The Manager also provides technical advice and assistance on RH issues, liaises with national and regional authorities and other authorities responsible for coordinating the FP services.

1. Managerial and Technical

a) Management and overall leadership of RH component of IRC health Program
b) Coordinate implementation of the long-term and permanent FP and PAC services including:
c) Programmatic interventions that prevent excess maternal mortality and morbidity, initiate the establishment of a referral system to provide access to emergency obstetric care (EmOC) and PAC services;
d) Programmatic interventions to increase the number of clients for long term and permanent FP methods through provision of quality services through trained staff in best equipped health facilities in the district.
e) To manage and supervise staff according to standard IRC guidelines including performance management, job orientation, capacity building, support in recruitment process and grievance handling.
f) Programmatic interventions to address reduction of mortality and morbidity associated with post abortion by providing counseling and services for PAC.
g) Provide technical input and ensure quality of the activities being implemented

2. Liaison and Coordination


a) Represent IRC's RH programs in liaison with partners, donors, governments, NGOs, etc.
b) Liaise with other sectors (protection, community services, water/sanitation) to ensure a multi-sector approach to RH

3. Design and develop supervisory, monitoring and evaluation systems for RH interventions
,

a) Coordinate overall RH program monitoring with Health and M & E Managers.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION:


• MBBS or MD recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council with post graduation in Public Health i.e. MPH

EXPERIENCE:


• At least 04 years Previous experience in medium-large scale health programs

SKILLS:
• Capacity to develop, implement and analyze health assessments, develop and implement work plans
• Skills in training, monitoring and evaluation of health interventions
• Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage information (report writing and presentations).
• Strong knowledge of FP and PAC

PREFERENCE:

Working experience with International NGOs or similar set-up.
