|
- Monitor the situation in areas of origin through print and electronic media and gather the latest information from the Political Agents, the Shura members in the camp, the Protection and Security Committees, the WASH, health and hygiene Committees and the Food Security Committees, referred to hereinafter as the Sectoral Committees (SCs). Share this information on a monthly basis with other IRC protection staff.
- Working closely with the IRC Capacity Building, Protection, Legal and Registration Officers, SCs, and relevant sector agencies develop key messaging on the areas on which awareness-raising will be conducted (including fire safety, health, hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, protection, security, the IDP Guiding Principles, registration and other issues as required)
- Design and produce quality (illustrated) information materials including posters, brochures and Q&A sheets, making sure they are tailored to the needs of the specific target population groups and cover information related to the focus areas of each of the SCs and information on the registration process. Ensure that these materials are displayed in easily accessible public areas.Work with the IRC M&E team to carry out regular monitoring and evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the IEC materials used
- Liaise with other sectors and IRC Officers to ensure that the Project team has all the necessary information, and that it is accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare programs and arrange for the airing of two 20-minute live radio talk shows with the participation of key stakeholders, covering current issues primarily around IDP return and the available services.
- Under the supervision of the Deputy Protection Coordinator, work closely with the IRC Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to ensure that a comprehensive strategy for monitoring feedback of the proposed radio shows is implemented as part of this work.
Skills - Excellent English and good knowledge of Local language is essential;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of national law and/or human rights principles
- Computer skills including MS- Office
- Ability to handle multiple tasks; proven self-initiative and problem solving abilities;
- Willingness to travel within Pakistan;
- A commitment to protecting human rights.
PREFERENCE: - 1 year of working experience with UN agencies, International NGO or Institution.
