| Job Description: |
|
Assist Medical Officer in carrying out delivery cases in the RHC, BHUs in the Qamber Shahdadkot district.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of health team in RHC Mian Jo Goth with full responsibilities.
- Conduct antenatal and post natal consultations with pregnant women record height, weight pulse and blood pressure of all women coming for PNC/ANC visits.
- Keep antenatal, natal and postnatal records.
- Make referral for hospital care as appropriate.
- Assist lady doctor in minor surgical procedures of gyn/obs cases.
- To assist FMO in conducting deliveries / conduct normal deliveries
- Responsible for maintaining day-to-day infection prevention procedures including; universal precaution measures and sterilization.
- Provide adequate information to women about prenatal, natal and postnatal care, breastfeeding and care to newborn baby.
- Family planning counseling to women after delivery, especially for those who need these services.
- Prepare timely demand for supplies and collect the supplies form store.
- Maintain accurate day to day record and prepare monthly report.
- Provide counseling services to patients on treatment, compliance, prevention of disease, FP, child nutrition, immunization etc.
- Conduct Growth Monitoring and birth planning sessions session with mothers and pregnant women
- Attend workshop/seminars and program meetings arranged by IRC
- Any other duty assigned by the organization

Education
Diploma of LHV or in midwifery or Public Health or Nursing recognized by the Nursing Council of Pakistan.
Experience
One year experience in Primary Health Care.
Skills
Training background in EPI would be an added advantage
