Position Summary:

Under the supervision of Senior Livelihoods Coordinator, the incumbent primary responsibility will be to support and assist the day-to-day management of tasks related to emergency food security and nutrition in Sindh

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in collecting, compiling, organizing and storing the flow of information and files produced within the Emergency projectsto support to flood affected population
  2. Arrange progress review meetings, as and when necessary; record and disseminate minutes of meetings
  3. Assist the Provincial Coordinator in internal and external communication matters, including the development of a sound communication plan
  4. Update program information and support in developing relevant project documentation, including monthly/quarterly reports, monitoring tools, fact sheets etc.
  5. Support the Program Teams in drafting concept papers, project proposals, log-frames, work plans, budgets, project reports and reviews, and case studies
  6. Assist program units in organizing and conducting impact studies, baseline studies, assessments and surveys.
  7. Maintain and disseminate program schedules,monitoring tools and calendars among the program team.
  8. Provide administrative and organizational support to Coordinator and Senior Managers in briefing and site visits
  9. Participate in professional training and development activities as necessary.
  10. Represent the organizations at different clusters and other forums
  11. Take minutes of the meetings and report writing
  12. Conduct field visits for recording program reports, case studies, research studies
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Specification:

a) Education:

  • Masters degree in management, communications or social sciences.

b) Work Experience:

  • 2 Years experience in related field.

c) Languages:

  • English, Urdu

d) Skills and Competencies:

  • Theoretical and/or practical knowledge of project cycle management
  • Experience in report/grant writing;
  • Strong English language skills;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Team worker with flexibility;
  • Computer skills including MS- Office
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks;
  • Proven self-initiative and problem solving skills

e) Desirable:

  • Previous experience in emergency projects preferred
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Good coordination skills
