The Vocational Training Officer will support the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager in identifying, managing, and implementing non-farm cash for training interventions within the Emergency Food Security and Nutrition Program of the IRC, in district Mirpur Khas and Umerkot. Responsibilities: 1. Assist the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager in designing the on-the-job vocational training component of the project (cash-for-training), in line with project proposal, and by defining: objectives, beneficiary selection criteria, payment modality, documentation 2. Assist the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager in liaising and collaborating with Finance 3. Support the CMOs in collecting all relevant information related to beneficiaries and interested employers, by training them on the use of data collection templates and supervising data collection to ensure its completeness and accuracy 4. Analyze and report on technical information collected in the field 5. Collect all information sheets (beneficiary lists, registration forms, distribution lists, and others) from concerned CMOs and submit them to the Database Officer on a timely basis, in order to ensure prompt data entry 6. Collaborate with M&E Officers in their daily monitoring activities and share timely information with them, provided that the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager will be responsible for sharing weekly and monthly field plans 7. Identify opportunities for on-the-job vocational training and facilitate the matching between eligible beneficiaries and local micro and small firms 8. Support the CMOs in engaging the community in on-the-job vocational training activities, and in facilitating the community's understanding of this intervention 9. Support and supervise the enrollment and regular attendance of beneficiaries in on-the-job vocational training, as per procedures agreed between Finance and Program 10. Organize vocational training courses and supervise their implementation 11. Assist in producing/updating program documentation based on project information provided by the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager 12. Support the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager in determining resource requirements (human resources, equipment and material funding) and in recruiting and orienting new staff as required 13. Support the Sr. Cash Transfer Manager in coordinating & implementing marketing and enterprise activities 14. Coordinate with the Program Officer to manage project information and maintain all documentation related to business activities with standards and previously agreed templates 15. Collect case studies and success stories according to IRC guidelines Skills Required --Relevant experience in apprenticeship programs in emergency settings --Previous working experience within an INGOs in a similar project is a must; previous experience with the IRC is highly preferable --Excellent communication skills in Urdu and English and Sindhi will add value (written and spoken)
