We need a Graphics Designer with impressive portfolio to work on our multiple projects including our latest tech start-up. (video attached)
The ideal candidate should know the latest trends in web design and ought to be able to whip up websites. They should also be at home with print/mobile application design as they would be required to work on packaging and graphics design for our 2013 field hockey range as well as a number of mobile apps. This post is for a full-time remote worker, which means that you get to work from the comfort of your home, communicating and coordinating with colleagues in 3 different countries with periodic meet-ups. This also means that you need to have a satisfactory working environment at your disposal and that you should communicate any shortcomings to us beforehand so that they can be rectified.
The applicant should have a strong creative eye and in-depth understanding and appreciation of good design. Candidates familiar with slicing/HTML will be preferred.
Responsibilities include
Key responsibility would include taking initial mockups from boring UI drawing to graphic design pop!
Take direction and then come up with unique concepts and take them on to flawless execution.
Think creatively, and holistically!
Meet essential deadlines and communicate with the team effectively.
Skills Needed
Familiar with Web 2.0 Design Principals
Knowledge of site usability, layout and design principles
Detailed understanding of color, space, and typography
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw
Knowledge of HTML, CSS is a plus and Javascript a big plus ;)
Able to do illustrations and digital painting will also be a big plus.
